Computer Basics for Community Elders


Computer classes designed specifically for Elders. Go at a slower pace, cover topics that YOU want to cover, and learn to use a computer in a relaxed environment. * 8 seats available.

Elders’ computer classes teach the following:
• How to use Word to write a letter
• How to create and use email
• How to use Facebook
• How to protect yourself online

For those who enroll through the paid university or college programs, the Forces will pay for the university or college tuition, books and academic equipment in addition to providing a salary and benefits while members attend school.

Regardless of the profession, all successful candidates are required to complete basic training at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.

In return for paying for their education, the Forces require members to serve for a period of time following graduation. Time served is calculated on the basis of two months service for each month of paid education.
