3 Trades Orientation and Employment Experience

Eel Ground First Nation along with the Eel Ground Employment and Training Centre in conjunction with JEDI, NBCC Apprenticeship Program, and PETAL are seeking Youth ages 18-30 who are out of school, out of work, and underemployed.

3 Trades Orientation is a program that will introduce youth interested in the trades of Carpentry, Electrical, and Plumbing. Orientation of the 3 Trades Orientation (“3TO”) will be 16 weeks of introductory training that will be broken down within each of the said trades. An 8-week specialized W.E.S. program will also be added to the start of “3TO” program, bringing the total weeks of training to 24 weeks.

Along with our “3TO” program Eel Ground First Nation, with the Eel Ground Employment and Training Centre and PETL, will be adding an Employment Experience program geared towards Youth ages 18-30 out of school, out of work, and underemployed. This program will be designed to help Youth gain employment experience and skillsets needed to be a productive member of any work team. This program will include an 8-week specialized W.E.S. program and 16 weeks of on the job training bringing it to a total of 24 weeks of training and employment.
