INTRODUCTION TO ELECTRICAL AND RENEWABLE ENERGIES

TRAINING PROGRAM

This community –based training hosted in Natoaganeg (Eel Ground) First Nation will give participants from NB Mi’kmaq communities exposure to electrical construction and renewable energy technologies. Participants will gain an understanding of career opportunities in the renewable energy sector and prepare them for the future as the power system shifts to cleaner sources of energy.

Upon completion, participants will receive credit for Semester One of the Electrical (Construction) program with New Brunswick Community College, and will have exposure and hands on practical training in the renewable energy sector.

ELIGIBILITY: Youth ages 18-30; Covid -19 Requirements: Double vaccinated or weekly testing; and required to wear a mask when social distancing not possible
