Canada Child Benefit, Child Disability Benefit, GST/HST Credit, Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, Canada Learning Bond, Employment Insurance (New Changes) and Online information.

With the Canada Child Benefit you may receive up to $6,400 per child.

CROWN LAND ROYALTY ALLOCATION FORMS WILL BE ISSUED, FOR THE 2016-17 SEASON, STARTING NOVEMBER 14, 2016. FINAL DEADLINE FOR REQUESTS FOR  APPLICATIONS IS JANUARY 31, 2017. FORMS CAN BE PICKED UP FROM THE RECEPTIONIST. ONLY ONE FORM PER REGISTERED MEMBER WILL BE ISSUED AND MUST BE PICKED UP BY THE MEMBER THEMSELVES. WE DO MAKE EXCEPTIONS FOR ELDERS AND HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS IF PROPER AUTHORIZATION IS RECEIVED.

THE FORM MUST BE COMPLETED IN IT’S ENTIRETY OR SUBSIDY WILL NOT BE ISSUED.

Notice to Residents of Eel Ground First Nation

Re: Routine Water Maintenance:

Maintenance on the Eel Ground First Nation Water System has been scheduled from Monday, October 17th until Friday, October 21st, 2016.  Flushing of Fire Hydrants and the system throughout the community will occur during this time. Work will be carried out daily between 9am to 4pm.

Some discoloration of water may occur during the flushing.

Also, Reminder that “Fall Big Garbage Day” is Thursday, October 20th, 2016.

Re: Expressions of Interest, Lease of Restaurant Space

To Whom It May Concern:

Please be advised that the Chief and Council of Eel Ground First Nation will be accepting business plans or expressions of interest for a Term Lease of the Restaurant and facility at 6 Micmac Road, Eel Ground, NB.

Any business plan or expression of interest should include an initial calculation of $800.00 per month subsidized Rent plus 75% of the utilities and waste and snow removal costs.

Applications will be accepted until October 17th, 2016 at 12 noon.

Re: Fall Garbage Collection

Dear members,

Please note, that the fall “Big Garbage” collection for this year is scheduled for Thursday, October 20th, 2016. All household items such as appliances and furniture will be accepted.

Items that will NOT be picked up are as follows; paint cans, car parts, tires, computers or any other toxic waste.

We also have a cell phone and battery recycling box here at the band hall. Please feel free to drop off old cell phones and batteries. The Greater Miramichi Regional Service Commission "Solid Waste Services" will properly discard of these items at no charge to us.

Also: There will be a Household Hazardous Waste Collection & E-Waste Collection: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1st, 2016 Time: 8:00 a.m. to 12 Noon Location: Saint Mary's Catholic Parish, 360 Newcastle Blvd., Miramichi. You must transport your items to this location.
